The East Coast Classic, to be held on May 17 and 18, 2008, is the premiere competition venue for Middle Eastern dance, also known as belly dance.
In existence since 2002 when "the Classic" was founded by world-renowned dancer Taaj fi Qalbi (www.taaj.org), the event for 2008 is being sponsored by Hampton Roads area dancer Zuleika (www.zbellydance.com)
There are five categories of competition for spectators of all ages to enjoy, as well as a gala show and the wares of various Middle Eastern vendors.
