If you're in the Warrenton, VA region, a must stop is the Carousel Frozen Treats stand. They have a great selection of soft serve ice cream and often have special offerings like blueberry cobbler (homemade), or strawberry shortcake, or apple dumplings. It's located at 346 Waterloo St. in the parking lot of a small strip mall. Excellent for stopping back on the way from a day of hiking in Shenandoah.
