Raq Mundi is a Cabaret Tribal (Tribaret) Style Belly Dance Company. They are based in Wilson, North Carolina. The company is composed of long time dancers, new dancers and student dancers with a wide range of ages. The influences of Middle Eastern, North African, East Indian and Central Asian costumes and dance forms can be seen. Their style draws strongly a mix of traditional belly dance, but includes elements of modern dance along with our own artistic vision. This combination of traditional movement and music and modern innovation gives Raq Mundi's performances an exotic and ancient feeling and a powerful, mesmerizing presence.
